Enhance Your Ecommerce with a Subtle Redesign.

Kräuterkontor recently relaunched their ecommerce platform by upgrading from Shopware 5 to Shopware 6. This update modernizes their online shop, and although it involves costs, it presents a clear opportunity to enhance the overall customer experience.

PROBLEMS

Navigating Change, Overcoming Challenges

The evolving nature of Kräuterkontor presented a unique set of UX hurdles

Search Dominance.
The majority of users rely on the search function to locate products rather than navigating through the site's menu. This highlights the importance of optimizing the search experience to ensure quick and accurate results.

Hidden Value Proposition.
Users struggle to grasp the core benefits and purpose of the product at a glance. Highlighting key advantages through prominent messaging and clear visuals is essential to capture interest and drive engagement.

Misaligned Interaction Patterns.
Users encounter a mismatch between design and functionality, where visually similar elements lead to vastly different outcomes, such as navigating to a category page, a PDP, or a blog post.

Limited Exploration Opportunities.
The design restricts users from discovering new content or features organically. Encouraging exploration through intuitive pathways, engaging prompts, and thoughtful layout choices can foster curiosity and enhance user engagement.

Added a scarcity element with a clear alert ("schnell verkauft - Nur noch 2 auf Lager") to create a sense of urgency, encouraging users to make faster purchasing decisions.

Display Unique Selling Points (USP)

Added USPs creates a sense of trust and address user concerns directly within the buying flow, using micro-copy to promote product and brand reliability.

Display Payment Methods

Adding payment options directly on the Product Detail Page creates transparency, boosts trust and makes users feel more secure while shopping. Displaying options like PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, and more reassures users that they have flexible and secure ways to complete their purchase.

CTA Button Placement & Size

The "In den Warenkorb" (Add to Cart) button was redesigned to be larger and more prominent, positioned more centrally, and easy to click
